Perla del Mar cigars were first developed in the late 19th century to celebrate the critically acclaimed history of cigars in Cuba. Since Cuba’s lush, moist soil had previously produced the world’s most flavorful cigar tobacco, Cuba was known as the Pearl of the Sea. Around a century-old, J.C. Recreated Perla del Mar by Newman Cigar Co., handmade in the J.C. Newman cigar factory PENSA in Estelí, Nicaragua. In the lush mountains of Nicaragua, Perla del Mar features special, hand-selected, aged binder and long filler tobacco from four distinct regions: Pueblo Nuevo, La Reina, Condega, and Jalapa. Combined with a glossy, creamy Ecuadorian Shade or hardy Connecticut Broadleaf wrapping, this special blend offers a dynamic, yet healthy flavor.
